We collect only the data necessary to operate the service.
Account & usage data

- Authentication data (email/password or Google OAuth)
- Account identifiers
- User-provided backlink URLs and target URLs
- Backlink scan results (link status, attributes, anchor text, redirects)
Technical data
- IP address
- Timestamps and basic access logs
- Error and performance logs
Payment data
Payments are processed by Polar.sh. We do not store credit card or payment details. We only receive:
- Payment status
- Transaction ID
- Plan information
Analytics data
We use analytics tools to understand product usage:
- PostHog (cloud)
- Umami (self-hosted)
- OpenPanel (self-hosted)
- Google Analytics (used primarily for ads attribution)
Analytics data is aggregated and not used to personally identify users.
3. Why we process your data (legal basis)
Under GDPR, we process data based on the following legal bases:
- Contract performance – to provide backlink monitoring, alerts, and account functionality
- Legitimate interest – security, abuse prevention, service reliability
- Consent – analytics cookies (where required)
We do not send marketing emails. Only transactional emails (alerts, account-related messages) are sent.
4. Email communication
Transactional emails are sent via:
- Resend
- Amazon SES (planned)
These emails are required to operate the service (alerts, account notices). Marketing emails may be introduced in the future on an explicit opt-in basis.

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

- Payment processor: Polar.sh
- Email providers: Resend, Amazon SES
- Analytics providers: PostHog (cloud), Umami (self-hosted), OpenPanel (self-hosted), Google Analytics
No data is sold or shared for advertising purposes.
